Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Urban Rojgar mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Urban Rojgar ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use Urban Rojgar. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

2. The Nature of Our Service

Urban Rojgar is a marketplace platform that connects Task Givers with Task Doers. We are not a party to any agreement between a Task Giver and a Task Doer, and we do not employ, supervise, or direct Task Doers. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or completion of any task, nor the identity, skill, or reliability of any user, beyond the verification steps described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Account Registration & Roles

• You must register using a valid phone number and verify it via OTP.
• You will select a role — Give Tasks, Do Tasks, or Both — which determines the primary tools available to you; both roles remain switchable from your profile at any time.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
• One person may not maintain more than one active account, and accounts may not be transferred or sold.

4. User Conduct

By using Urban Rojgar, you agree that you will not:

• Post tasks or offer services that are illegal, fraudulent, unsafe, or that violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Provide false, misleading, or impersonated identity, verification, or portfolio information.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or engage in abusive behavior toward other users.
• Circumvent the platform to avoid fees by arranging payment or future tasks entirely outside the app after being matched through it.
• Use the Service to solicit for purposes unrelated to legitimate task-based work.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conduct standards, with or without notice, depending on severity.

5. Task Posting, Acceptance & Completion

• Task Givers are responsible for accurately describing the task, agreed price, and any materials or access required.
• Task Doers are responsible for accurately representing their skills, availability, and service radius, and for completing accepted tasks with reasonable skill and care.
• Either party may cancel a task prior to commencement in accordance with the in-app cancellation policy; repeated cancellations may affect your account rating or standing.
• A task is considered complete when marked as such by the Task Giver within the app, which also triggers release of payment where in-app payment is used.

6. Payments & Fees

• Task pricing is agreed upon between the Task Giver and Task Doer within the app prior to confirmation.
• Urban Rojgar may charge a service fee or commission on completed tasks, as disclosed within the app at the time of the transaction.
• Where in-app payments are used, funds are processed through our third-party payment partners, subject to their own terms.
• Cash-on-completion payments, where supported, are made directly between users; Urban Rojgar is not responsible for disputes arising from off-platform cash handling beyond facilitating dispute resolution as described below.

7. Payment Disputes

If a dispute arises over payment, task quality, or completion, users should first attempt to resolve it directly through in-app messaging. If unresolved, either party may escalate the matter to Urban Rojgar support at support@urbanrojgar.app, which will review the task history, messages, and any evidence provided to reach a fair resolution. Our decision on facilitated disputes is made in good faith based on available information but does not constitute a legal judgment, and either party retains the right to pursue other legal remedies.

8. Ratings & Verified Portfolios

Ratings and reviews reflect the genuine opinions of users following a completed task. Manipulating ratings — including through fake accounts, coercion, or incentivized reviews — is prohibited. Verified Work Portfolio badges indicate that certain identity or document checks were completed at a point in time; they are not a guarantee of ongoing conduct or performance.

9. Service Limitations & Availability

Urban Rojgar is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service, availability of Task Doers in every location or category, or that every posted task will be matched or completed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practicable.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Urban Rojgar and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, disputes between users, or the quality or outcome of any task, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory. Our total liability arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of the fees paid by you to Urban Rojgar in the preceding three months or a nominal amount as required by applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Urban Rojgar harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or your interactions and agreements with other users.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent or unsafe activity, or as required by law. Provisions relating to payment obligations, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, except where local consumer protection law provides otherwise.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service or legal requirements. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
