One app, two sides of the same neighbourhood

Urban Rojgar exists because finding reliable local help — and finding your next job — should never take longer than a five-minute conversation.

For Task Givers

Post what you need — a leaking tap fixed, a home deep-cleaned, a delivery run — and get matched with verified, rated people nearby in minutes. Track progress in real time, right up to the doorbell.

For Task Doers

Turn your skills — repair, cleaning, driving, digital work, and more — into steady income. Build a verified portfolio, choose your own hours and radius, and get paid for work that's actually nearby.

Built for real neighbourhoods, not just app stores

Every match is hyperlocal — filtered by your city, your area, and your language — so help always feels like it's coming from just around the corner.

Frequently asked questions

The things people ask us most, answered plainly.

How does payment work between a Task Giver and Task Doer?
Pricing is agreed on within the app before a task is confirmed, and payment is released once the Task Giver marks the job complete. Both in-app payment and cash-on-completion are supported, and every transaction is logged in your task history for reference.
How does Urban Rojgar keep both sides safe?
Every account is phone-verified through OTP, Task Doers build a Verified Work Portfolio with ratings and history, and live task tracking means someone's location and status are visible for the duration of a job. You can report or block anyone directly from the app.
What kinds of tasks can I post or take on?
Categories span Home Repair, Cleaning, Driving, Painting, Gardening, Digital Work and more, with new categories added as demand grows in each city. If a task doesn't fit an existing category, you can still describe it and get matched with relevant Task Doers nearby.
Can I switch between giving and doing tasks later?
Yes. Even if you selected only one role during signup, you can add the other from your profile settings at any time — the app will simply unlock the matching dashboard and tools.
Is Urban Rojgar available in my language?
The app currently supports 10+ Indian languages, including Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali, with more being added. You can change your language anytime from Settings.
